IT2Business.org and Quality2IT.org platforms presented at the General Assembly of PIN SME
Mr. George Brashanrov, Chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Software Companies (BASSCOM) and Vice president of PIN SME, presented the web platforms IT2Business.org and Quality2IT.org at the annual summit of the General Assembly of Pan European ICT & e-Business Network for SMEs (PIN SME), held on the 26th of April, 2010 in Paris.
PIN-SME is an association formed in 2007 to represent the interests of Europe’s ICT SME sector. Currently ten national and regional associations are members, representing some 50,000 ICT SME companies that account for around 200k jobs.
The main topics in the presentation were the challenges facing the ICT companies in the Eastern European region, the approaches for addressing them and the functionalities of the web sites for the SMEs. The platforms were promoted to 10 ICT associations from Austria, Denmark, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland and UK. Possibilities for future cooperation and networking were discussed.
Some of the presented advantages and functionalities of the platforms were:
• Solution-centered and oriented towards the specific needs of the respective customers;
• Easy to use – "three-click" access to most of the features;
• Provides enough information in order to assist selection of appropriate solutions and links with the providers;
• Easy to maintain – all functions (registration of companies and services, updates, news, etc.) can be directly managed by the members without an administrator.
The team of European Software Institute - Center Bulgaria, engaged with the development of both platforms, will continue to work for building future collaboration with similar initiatives and activities on European and world level.
